Five Months Flying By!

Sweet Evelynn Jane is five months old. (Pictures below) Still TRYING to roll over, she concentrates much more on sitting up. She can sit up pretty well now and can and does roll, though rarely. She is showing signs of figuring out the jumperoo any day now. She LOVES Claire. Claire makes her smile, makes her laugh, and is such a good big sister - playing with her, teaching her, and sharing with her. Evie Jane is ticklish and Mommy is really good at getting laughs out of her. She is a big smiley baby, showing off that dimple anytime she isn't too sleepy. She is Mommy's girl - big time - and often cries if Mommy leaves her with anyone else, even Daddy or Nini. She is starting to sleep better and is now spending whole nights in her crib in her shared room with Claire, but isn't really anywhere near getting rid of that one feeding in the middle of the night. Mommy thinks that will be a project toward the end of the month. She sleeps really well in the afternoon when Claire rests too, but doesn't nap much or well in the mornings. Evelynn LOVES to eat and is eating three meals a day and nursing every 3 to 4 hours (though we're really close to just every 4 hours). She also loves a sippy cup with a little diluted apple juice. She can even hold the sippy cup for awhile. She loves her wubby (the paci with a little giraffe attached) and uses this for comfort if she happens to wake in the night or is having trouble going to sleep for a nap. She is still a little chunk though she appears to be on the verge of getting mobile and I have a feeling she will start thinning out soon. We don't call her Eviedillo much anymore since that stage has past. Instead, she is Boo Boo Chicken or Evie Jane, and we are encouraging the use of her full name, Evelynn, in non-family circles. Five months have flown by! Wearing some of CLAIRE'S clothes. Evelynn is ready for the next size (9-12 months), but I just haven't gotten them down from the attic yet. She can wear t-shirts and shorts of Claire's though, and that has been an easy quick solution for dressing her in the meanwhile.
This little doll has found her feet - so so fun! We try to have a good amount of floor time every day to have her working on her rolling and sitting up.
Hmmm. You taste like, um, daddy. Yep. Daddy. Getting a solid afternoon nap in her crib in Mommy & Daddy's room. This is now the only time she sleeps in the small crib.

One happy Daddy
Geoff is probably going to be annoyed about all these photos of him on the blog, but I'm sure y'all are all fans of these great Daddy-daughter moments.
