There are a number of random things I have been thinking that I did not want to forget over time. One day I plan to put a lot of what is on the blog into the girls' baby books, so whenever I think of something that I don't want to forget, I'll post it - even if it doesn't make sense with the blog post itself. Hope you don't mind!
Here's something I want to remember:
While pregnant with Claire, I re-read all of the Harry Potter series, all of the CS Lewis Chronicles of Narnia, and read for the first time Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy. While pregnant with Evelynn, I read the bible in its entirity - I think that was the first time I have read it from cover to cover in order. Now for some pictures from the past week or so...

The wubbanub - a Soothie paci attached to a stuffed animal. Evie has had this since birth and she is just starting to be able to sort of grasp it and guide it to her mouth - a very helpful trick!

My little blankie-head. Claire loves hats and LOVES her blankies!

Sweet chunky punkin'

Evelynn smiles with her entire face - and definitely with her eyes. Her personality has been showing itself more and more the past few weeks. She seems to be super cheery and lovey - a lot like her sister, but even quicker to smile. She's showing the beginning of a sense of humor and (unlike Claire) is even slightly ticklish.

In her playhouse. Claire had a good week last week. Our neighbors' 4 granddaughters were over for 2 days of play. They had painted fingernails and toenails, so Claire wanted hers done too - first time!

We have started walking again - LOVE my stroller! After the walk pictured above, I discovered that Brobee (the green monster of Claire's) was missing. Had to retrace our steps from start to finish to find him, so TWO walks that day - quite tiring!

This picture make me think of the flying nun for some reason. The hat actually looks a lot cuter on her in person, but hey - here's a GREAT look at that little dimple of hers!

Claire blowing through the pipe that goes to an air pump (it came with a pilates ball) - they make great whistles! (As a side note, kitties on her PJs go well with the cat hat she loves so much).

And last but not least, a side-by-side of the two sisters. It's pretty unbelievable that Evie is a day shy of 12 weeks in this picture. She wants to sit up all the time, is in 9 month clothes and size 3 diapers, and just seems so much older than she really is. We think she's trying to catch up with her sister as quickly as possible. I have a feeling I am going to see myself in her a lot, since the age difference between my two girls is almost exactly the same as between myself and my older sister.
They look so completely different, so for those who have been asking if they favor each other, this picture should answer your question.
