July 1 - 7

You can't really tell, but she's blowing raspberries. Claire didn't do that much that I can remember, but Evelynn sure likes to do it.
Already self-diagnosing (LOL)
My little singer
Claire says "boom boom boom boom" to indicate she can hear her heart - of course, sometimes she does this when the stethoscope is on her knee, but she gets the idea anyway...
I liked this little look
She LOVES saltines
Reading with Daddy - an all time favorite thing of Claire's
Graham Crackers are the treat of choice these days
Sailor girl for the 4th
Driving Miss Baby
Pigtails, please, mommy
Sweet baby face
Dogs being afraid of the fireworks
After the constant previews for the Winnie the Pooh movie, Claire became crazy about Pooh again. I told her Nani and Pop would take her to see it and was daily reminded, "Pop see Pooh. Nani see Pooh." They took her in Nashville and she loved it. She is still talking about it!

Best Photoshoot Ever

Sometimes it's hard to decide which picture to keep...

June 19 - 25 Phone Pictures

Filling up the pool
I have one other great picture of this day, but I can't put it on the blog. She decided to take off all her clothes except for the fairy wings and play in the pool - so funny!
Her first experience with "Dough-y" - the delight of playdough!
Does it get any better than this?

In what Geoff wears and calls an "adventure hat"
She really wants to pick up the poor cat, and he's desparate enough for some attention to let her try!
In Evie's mini crib together. The crib is no longer in mine and Geoff's bedroom - thank goodness - and is only used in the study for afternoon naps. We are about to remove it to the attic completely and the girls will be full-time roommates! This is already the case for nights, but afternoon naps will still have to be separate for awhile because Claire sleeps longer and better during these than Evie who will still take her morning nap for some time to come.
She can be one happy baby when she wants to be!
This is what Claire does when you say "surprise." There is a book that has a picture of a little girl making this face and Claire calls the book "surprise."
Making a card for Father's day
Sleeping angel.
They are so sweet when they're sleeping!
Big sisters are all about torture - I think Claire was saying "Evie's eye". I'm just glad she wasn't actually putting her finger IN the eye.

Have a very similar picture of Claire with the same cup and same expression at this age
Aren't they cute all ready for church?
 Loved this sweet picture
Little bow in her hair made by her great aunt Kathy. Not only doesn't she fit in this dress anymore, but she isn't even in this carseat!
Last day before potty training and the last time she would wear a one-piece outfit like this.
Peek-a-boo
"Momma, sit."
Aunt Gini immediately noticed the boots ont he wrong feet.
My girl looks so good in blue!
Let the potty training begin - for several weeks Claire mostly just wore training pants and nothing else (to make it easier to get them down in a hurry). It's hard to believe she's been potty trained for nearly 2 months now, but it has been a huge blessing and a lot easier than I expected it to be. Evelynn is my hard baby, so I am expecting this not to go as well with my second-born.
Evie Jane enjoying a sunny day in the swing.
My girls in Peel Park West - our fenced off area for toddler play
Ahoy there!
Sweet picture with Ginger Giraffe, Evie's Wubbanub pacifier. She no longer has interest in a paci, something for which I am grateful because I was never certain about taking one away if she got too attached. Claire never took one at all. I only ever gave it to Evelynn as she was going down for naps, so maybe that's what helped. She's just gotten better about going to sleep on her own - most of the time anyway...
In the jumperoo - she didn't figure this thing out until sometime mid-July, at almost 7 months, and by now she is almost too heavy to really enjoy it because I can't pull it up high enough.
Another wubby picture in an Auburn shirt - my sweet Evie Jane

Looking Back

Last week of May/First week of June - Here are photos downloaded from my cell phone. There were several big time favorites starring Geoff in this bunch!

Man, she looks small in this picture! It's amazing how much they change in short periods of time!
Daddy is still a favorite teether

A little blurry, but you gotta love those expressions!
 In her great-grandaddy's hat
One of my all-time favorite pictures, looking up to her daddy
Sweet moments with Daddy
