6 Weeks Have Sailed By

Well, we've crossed the 6 week mark and things at the Peel household are going great. It's like Buddy has always been a part of our family. He is doing well moving into his own room and crib and life is settling into a routine for all of us. I don't feel like supermom every day, but I have more good days than bad and I'm starting to feel recovered from surgery and like getting up and getting out. Life is good. My cup overflows.

 Diaper delivery sent by Nani always means a new box fort or boat or car. We cut a "peeking hole" out of the top of this one.

If you look closely, you can see Claire is hiding in the box fort as well (behind Evie's elbow). It takes a lot of diapers these days (hence the man-sized box from diapers.com), but soon Evie will be potty training and we'll be back down to just one to diaper.

Evie always has to hog any toys of Buddy's (probably because Claire has to hog any toys of Evie's) - ahh the joys of siblinghood!

 In his carrier - I have yet to figure out how to wear him in this for more than 10 minutes without him going straight to sleep. And yes, it's pink, because Aunt Gini passed it down and bought it for cousin Tessa. I'm not sweating the pink thing because it's mostly for use around the house anyway.

 Tessa and Evie at the water park - See how their little heads and arms form a perfect heart? Evie loves Tessa and loves to say Tessa's name over and over. It is adorable to hear, "Tessa?" while she points to the door hoping for a visit. What fun to grow up with a cousin only 3 months younger!

I didn't think I could manage a morning at the splash park with all 3 kids without Shelley - the girls love her. Claire on the way home said, "Miss Shelley loves me!" She comes 2 mornings a week to help with the girls so I can rest, run errands, or clean my house - it is WONDERFUL!

Catching Up on Week 4 & 5

In no particular order, here are some pictures from the past two weeks. This past week we also took Buddy for his 1 month check up and Evie for her 18 month check up. Both are 60th percentile on height and 85th on weight. Buddy is already a whopping 11lbs 2oz!

Three Week Post

Buddy is three weeks old and still a good baby. Having a little bit of night/sleep struggles, but I'm attributing this to a growth spurt and they appear to be getting better. He likes baths and his sisters. We are trying to work on keeping him awake some during the day - usually his sisters are a big help with this. Our summer sitter has started coming Tuesday and Thursday mornings to play with the girls - this is the BEST THING EVER! They get some outside play time, I get some rest or time to catch up on housework or bond with Buddy.

We have received some really sweet gifts for the girls and Buddy from family and friends and have been grateful to those who brought meals as well. As I've said several times, the transition from 2 to 3 has been smoother thus far than the transition from 1 to 2 was. So far, so good...
