Catching Up on Week 4 & 5

In no particular order, here are some pictures from the past two weeks. This past week we also took Buddy for his 1 month check up and Evie for her 18 month check up. Both are 60th percentile on height and 85th on weight. Buddy is already a whopping 11lbs 2oz!

Three Week Post

Buddy is three weeks old and still a good baby. Having a little bit of night/sleep struggles, but I'm attributing this to a growth spurt and they appear to be getting better. He likes baths and his sisters. We are trying to work on keeping him awake some during the day - usually his sisters are a big help with this. Our summer sitter has started coming Tuesday and Thursday mornings to play with the girls - this is the BEST THING EVER! They get some outside play time, I get some rest or time to catch up on housework or bond with Buddy.
We have received some really sweet gifts for the girls and Buddy from family and friends and have been grateful to those who brought meals as well. As I've said several times, the transition from 2 to 3 has been smoother thus far than the transition from 1 to 2 was. So far, so good...

The First Fortnight

At two weeks old, Buddy is a good baby. He's a good sleeper and a good nurser. He smiles A LOT. He's very alert and very noisy/grunty. He is the only one of my children to lose his umbilical cord when he's supposed to (it fell off last night). Both of my girls kept theirs for a LONG time - over 6 weeks for Evie and 8 for Claire. He is the only one of my children who is starting life with blue eyes. Don't know if he will keep them blue like me, but I'm enjoying it while it lasts. He doesn't cry much or spit up much and he seems pretty easy going. Here's praying I can still say the same at 3 weeks and beyond!
Check out how much his hair has grown from this picture taken just after 1 week to the last one taken today at 2 weeks - his hair is so long his Daddy already wants to cut it (but mommy won't let him yet).
We moved Evie to a toddler bed since I can't do much lifting and certainly can't get her in and out of a crib. She's doing pretty well with it. Naptime is a bit of a challenge, but she's doing great at night.
Babies are so funny when they sleep.
Claire loves being a big sister.
Nani left for home today. She is always a big help in the transitions with each new addition. My freezer is full of food  for several months!
